The main advantage of using Intumescent paints is its insulation towards fire. The paint looks like an aesthetic paint which can be pleasing, and helpful too. In Marseille, most of the people are getting this paint work done as it not only proofs one's house from fire, but also helps in providing protection and insulation from fire. When exposed to extreme heat conditions, the material within starts expanding. Some paints, expand at 100 times, when exposed to fire. The product when expanded, losses its density, which results in a protective cover from the fire. If you want to get more information follow our website.

Working of Intumescent Painting

A series of chemicals are suspended in this paint binder. These chemicals remain compressed against each other and hence have a large amount of pressure between them. As the paint is exposed to high temperatures, the extrinsic protection starts to loosen and soften. The chemicals lose their bind and start reacting with other. The end result is the formation of foam like substance. The foam reacts with fire and the end carbonization results into the foam solidifying into a black insulating substance. This substance is known as char, and that is how the paint expands to form a cover of insulation.

Applications

Intumescent painting in Marseille is used for structural fire protection. The aesthetic coating of the paint provides as a fireproof and fire stop propaganda. Nowadays, these coatings are also used in the woods. Woods being a conductor of heat easily catch fire and burn to ashes. To prevent that, a thorough coating of Intumescent paint is applied all over. However, for a natural wood look, this is not preferred.
