Employment agencies do a great job of connecting the employer with the potential candidate. A recruitment agency would take their cut from both the employee and employer if they meet their target. By meeting their target we mean that if the employer is getting the desired profile he wants for the job, employment agency would get paid. On the other hand, if the potential candidates are able to get the job profile which fits their qualification, they would agree on paying the fixed amount as fee to the agency, the moment they get their first salary.
However, often a question arises that why only the employees have this right to get their fee refunded from the employment agency if the employer terminates the contract. The other side of the question is that even the employee can be dissatisfied with the job and not serve for the required time mentioned in the agreement. In this case employer would be at a loss because he has already paid the agency.
You have the right
If you are an employer who is looking to hire the employees through a recruitment agency then this should be the first question that you should ask the agency before signing the agreement with them. Ask the agency that what is the policy regarding refund in case the employee does not serve the total number of months mentioned in the contract or absconds. Some of the best agencies make sure that the client relationship is not scathed and therefore includes the condition of refund in case the worker absconds. Contact us if you want to know more. |
